Over the past couple of days we have received a number of emails updating Mark's condition. On Thursday 1st October Retha spoke with Cherryl. Mark's condition had deterioted and he was needing immediate surgery.

Mark's brain surgery began at 11:00am SA time and the doctors were out of theatre by 2:28pm SA time. The operation was a success! All of Mark's tumours were successfully removed without any damage to the brain (they were practically loose from the brain) and the bleeding stopped. The doctors turned from not so positive before the operation to very positive afterwards. God was at work during the operation, thanks to the power of prayer. Mark is on a ventilator at the moment and will be kept in ICU until he stabilises. He still needs a lot of prayers for his recovery.

Mark is in the Groote Schuur Hospital and we will continue to update this information as we learn more. Please keep Mark, his family and his carers in your prayers.
