UPDATE 19/09/09:
LATEST EMAIL FROM MARIUS OF EDEN LIFE MINISTRIES:
Dear Cherryl
Thank you for understanding why I have not been able to respond till now. Other than trying to help with the crisis I have had three long distance trips during this week, attended the anointment of Mark, etc. However you are absolutely right that responding to a email from Steps to Life is of paramount importance.
Before Sabbath our internet site www.edenlifeministries.net will have a linkwith continual updated info regarding Mark.
In short the situation currently is as follows:
He was anointed during the week. It was a very blessed day and in my 46 years of SDA experience I have never seen such unity. With thousands of people praying world wide and tens of thousands of emails, cell phone text messages, facebook messages, phone calls, etc. pouring in, the Woodman family has been overwhelmed with the love and support that they have received from God's church. The anointment was led by Pastor Walter Veith (it was through Professor Veith's DVDs that Mark gave his life to Christ) and also in attendance were a number of other ministers and elders (also including the minister that originally baptized Mark).
Since then the decision was taken to begin treatment on coming Monday at one of our SDA health centres in South Africa. The few days in between have been used to sift through the many different treatments and products on the market to ensure that it falls within the boundaries of our health message.
On Sunday a group of experienced persons will gather to look at all info gathered during this week and will then combine all to prescribe treatment that will commence on Monday. He has chosen to follow only treatment that will uplift the health message and the gospel of Christ. Brain surgery has also not been ruled out at this stage.
His sight is currently darkened permanently and he experiences constant headaches and pain; generally bearable but sometimes severe.
As a family they are holding up relatively well considering the circumstances, however constant prayer is needed and we would be very happy if you would continually join us in this.
